Firm Launches Bilingual Online Resource Center

Published · February 10, 2026

A new online resource center offers printable bilingual checklists and guides for South Texas families navigating common legal situations.

Rio Grande City, TX. The Law Office of J.M. Chema Garza today launched a bilingual online resource center at the firm’s website. The first wave of resources includes an after-a-car-accident checklist, a wallet-sized Know Your Rights card for traffic and ICE encounters, and a family-emergency-plan template for mixed-status households.

Each resource is reviewed annually for legal accuracy and translated by the attorney rather than by software, to ensure the Spanish version reads naturally for Mexican-Spanish speakers in the Valley.

"Most of the calls we get start with a question that should have an answer the family can read at home before the call," said founding attorney J.M. "Chema" Garza. "We built the resource center so that answer is always available, in the language the family lives in, at no cost."

All resources are available in English and Spanish at the firm’s website. Future additions will cover DACA renewal preparation and a primer on Texas family-court hearings.
